Laura Sofía Thorrez (Acrylic Painting Lessons)
Visual artist born in 2002 in Havana, Cuba. Graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro in Havana, currently studying at the Higher Institute of Art of Cuba. She uses drawing, painting, and objects to create narratives about the female experience, relying on self-referential, fantastical and insular nuances. She has had three solo exhibitions and more than twenty group shows in various spaces in Havana. Her works are held in private collections in the United States, Spain, France, Scotland, Peru, and Cuba.
Jose Angel Nazabal (watercolor lessons)
Architect, comic artist and visual artist born and based in Havana, Cuba. Graduated in 2013 from the National Fine Arts Academy of Havana San Alejandro, in the specialty of painting and drawing. Then he begins studies in architecture and urbanism at the Technological University of Havana José Antonio Echeverria, obtaining the degree of architect and urban planner in 2019. His work as a visual artist was carried out in parallel with his university studies in architecture and have been focused on queer themes and self-referentiality using digital art and watercolor as main techniques. His work led him to be included in several contemporary art anthologies, including The Queer Bible published in 2020 with the Swiss curator Hans Ulrich Obrist.
