Please join Morningside Music Tours on our first trip during the Fiesta Del Tambor! We will be immersed in Cuban music with daily music lessons and ensembles every morning and then drum masterclasses and visiting historical sites in the afternoons. The evenings will be for gourmet meals and taking in incredible live music. This trip is geared towards all levels of musicians, from pros to hobbyists, but you should have at least a few years for playing experience. We are proud of our incredible teachers from the Havana Music School, the only privately owned music school in the city.
This trip is not for musicians only! Friends, spouses and non-musicians are welcome to join along! There will be activities planned for them while lessons are taking place.

About Fiesta Del Tambor:
Fiesta Del Tambor, or The Cuban Drum Party, will feature groups with some of the best drummers in Cuba and from all over the world. Past versions of the festival have featured drummers Horacio Hernández, Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Mark Guiliana, Ketama, Giraldo Piloto, Kilmax, Rodney Barreto, Oliver Valdés and many others.

We take the support of our Cuban friends seriously by supporting musicians thru an independently owned music school, by bringing much-needed musical supplies to the local musicians, as well as many everyday items such as ibuprofen, toothpaste, and batteries. We will also be supporting and interacting with the Cuban people in numerous other ways by visiting art galleries, and markets, taking dance lessons and getting historical tours from our local guides. We will stay in privately owned residences (casa particulares) similar to Airbnbs and dining in privately owned restaurants. We will interact with incredible, dedicated Cuban musicians who love to share their knowledge. The whole week you will be learning about Cuba's fascinating history.
Other Activities - options for spouses, friends and non-musicians include support of the Cuban people activities such as guided museum visits, history tours, dance classes, cooking classes, and private art galleries.
